Diamond Knowledge Test System |
The Diamond Knowledge Test System is designed to help HC/PH Driver Licensing sections give tests with questions randomly picked from a set of questions, ensuring that the tests given are different. A pool of questions is set up by the user, and when a test is run, the candidate will enter his/her personal details, and then the system will randomly select the questions, and will allow the candidate to select the chosen answer, and then move on to the next question. Once finished, the system will calculate the score, and inform the candidate of the result, and may print a pass Certificate or failure Letter. Typically, the questions are placed into distinct categories, the correct answer is entered, together with 3 wrong answers, and when the question is posed, the answers are also randomised, so that the correct answer is not always in the same position. Categories defined by existing users are :
As part of the configuration, the system can select different numbers of questions from the different categories (for example, 10 Signage, 5 Policy/Law, and 25 Route questions), and the rules for passing can vary. With the above example, 40 questions in total are being posed, and the pass mark might be 32 (for example). However, a candidate could answer all Signage and Route questions correctly, all Policy/Law questions incorrectly and still pass. Another way is to have separate pass marks for the different categories (8, 5 and 20 for example). In this way, ALL Policy/Law must be answered correctly to pass. Some users have certain rules governing how many tests the same person can take, and the interval between these. For example, the second test must be taken at least 5 days after the first, the third must be taken at least 30 days after the second, and so on. By entering the National Insurance Number before taking a test, these rules can be enforced. |

To really appreciate the system, we recommend a no-obligation demonstration at your offices. For more details, contact Mick Warren on 01885 490 480 or e-mail him at: mick@diamondpeople.co.uk. |
